As winter risks increase, the Mayor has invited the Council of Churches to help strengthen the city’s response to people experiencing homelessness.
While Stratford has important social programs in place, overnight and extreme-weather gaps remain. Not One More Night is a partnership formed to help close those gaps.
This initiative supports an expanded winter warming centre at the Connection Centre, providing a safe space, care, and human connection when it’s needed most.

How your church can get involved
Churches are invited to raise funds within their community and forward donations to the City of Stratford in support of Not One More Night.
Each church can issue tax receipts to their own donors, then send the collected funds to the City, where 100% of the money is directed to this initiative through a dedicated budget line.

- Designate a Sunday offering to support the winter warming centre
- Hold a seasonal appeal during Advent or Lent
- Host a themed fundraiser such as a community meal, concert, or special event
- Share updates and giving opportunities during Sunday services

- We can meet with your board or leadership team to explain the initiative and discuss fundraising ideas
- We can help draft bulletin announcements, newsletter content, and communication materials
- Promotional media resources are being developed for churches to use in raising awareness
